Tuesdays - 6 weeks 21st May - 25th June 6-8pm There is the option of booking each week individually (£35) or the entire 6 week course (£175) Choose the dates that suit or the whole course. If you would like to book individual classes please email with the date or dates to book. How have you found the business side of making? If you have lots of questions and find it overwhelming to know where to start then this 6 week course that is packed with practical information will help you to learn how to run your studio and practice and make a living as an artist. With almost 30 years experience in the creative industries, René Mullin has both tips and facts to share with you to help you set up and run your life as an artist. Week 1 - 21st May Introductions and what to read/hear/look at. Week 2 - 28th May Following your creative call. Guest speaker - Donna Bloye (from Great Pottery Throw Down) Week 3 - 4th June Pricing your work - should you wholesale, how to approach retailers. Week 4 - 11th June. Social Media, Storytelling, Narrative, PR. Guest speaker, Jo Pearson (print artist) Week 5 - 18th June Finance & Funding applications. How to structure your business, unpicking profit/turnover/tax. Guest speaker, Cara Murphy (silversmith) Week 6 - 25th June Motivation & Course Round up. Many more areas of discussion arise in the sessions and René is ready to aid participants in finding solutions to issues they face in structuring their new work life. Being an artist can be your day job!

Cancellation Policy

Refunds can only issued up to 7 days before the course or class starts. After this period, if you cannot make the class your course fee will the retained. However you may transfer your space to another person but please let us know of the change.
