What experience level do I have to be to join as a member?Members should feel confident in working independently, if you have completed a 10 week course we are happy for you to join as a member. At times you may be working on your own. Helen and Lucy will be available on set days and can answer questions but won't be there in a teaching capacity.

Do you provide a kiln firing service?Yes we can provide kiln firings both bisque and glaze in an electric kiln, send us an email for kiln sizes and firing costs.

Do you sell ceramics?We will have a summer and Christmas studio event for members to sell their work. If you want to buy ceramics please contact members directly.

I’m looking to commission work, can you help?The studio doesn't currently take on commissions as we have just opened and would like to focus on setting up the studio for our members and students. We are happy to pass on information to suitable members.

Can I visit the studio?The studio is only open by appointment as we want to keep the studio to be a place where makers can focus on their work uninterrupted. If you are interested in either becoming a member or taking a class please email and we can arrange a visit. We will also be having 2 open studio events a year, summer and winter.

Do you hire equipment?No we do not hire out equipment but do offer a electric firing service, email us for more information.

When will my work be available after completing a class?For one off classes your work will be available for collection approximately 3 weeks after the class, each piece has to dry completely, be biscuit fired, glazed and then fired a second time.

Are classes open to non-members?Yes, classes are open to everyone. We offer classes for complete beginners through to professional makers wanting to upskill or learn new techniques.

Can I pay a deposit for my classes?Yes you are able to split the cost of any workshop of £100 or more. Send an email with the required workshop and the I'll send an invoice request for 50% of the workshop cost, the remaining payment will be required 2 weeks before the start date.

Do you sell gift vouchers?Yes, we offer vouchers that people can use to book any of our courses.

If I miss a class on a course can I catch up another time?In the event of non-attendance or arriving late to classes it is not possible to provide alternative studio time, or for a class to be rescheduled.

Can I arrange a private session for team building or a group activity?Currently we don't offer private sessions.

Do you run classes for children under 16?We don’t offer classes for children under the age of 16 as our toilets are separate to the studio and we don't want to send your children wandering round an old mill!
