Sculptural Vessels

Service Description

Join our 3-hour ceramic workshop and create sculptural vessels using the coil-building technique. You’ll learn how to use clay coils to build dynamic forms, and shape expressive, one-of-a-kind pieces. There will also be the option to use coloured clay slips to decorate your vessel to enhance form and texture. Suitable for beginners as well as more experienced makers who want to try something new. Helen Noble is a ceramic artist and part-time lecturer in Ceramics at Belfast Metropolitan College. Having completed her MA in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art, London in 2011, she has a particular interest in and experience of working with glaze and colour. Seeing colour and glaze as an integral and significant element in its own right, Helen believes there is immense value in taking the time to explore and experiment with glaze, instead of it being simply an afterthought at the end of the making process.
